Our roots
In the midst of Seattle's ominous grey winter, we craved fresh grown veggies. As a hobby we began growing hydroponic leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens indoor with grow lights.
We soon discovered that microgreens didn't require a lot of light. They thrived with just natural, ambient to indirect bright light. Sharing our small harvest with friends and family, they especially loved the freshness and robust flavors of the microgreens. Some suggested that we sell to restaurants and cafes. After launching a small-scale commercial operation, CamFresh Farms LLC, we still wanted to bring microgreens back to our roots — by creating a simple product which friends and family can grow fresh veggies with little effort, is affordable, and can experience unique flavors year-round.
